Notes on Headcount

Chasm Logic's headcount has been described as "lean" by Investor Relations (J. Clay), "optimal" by Legal (Doug), and "what headcount" by the CEO (B. Granite, via voicemail, highway noise).

The IT Infrastructure position was never created. All infrastructure decisions are made by whichever employee encounters the problem first. In practice, this is Doug, because Doug encounters all problems first, including problems he created, which he then resolves by creating additional problems.

The Finance position was held by D.Ite, who was deactivated on 2025-11-02. D.Ite was later identified as Doug operating under an assumed surname. The deactivation was processed by HR, which was still staffed at the time. HR was subsequently made vacant after Doug reviewed the last HR candidate's application and found them "redundant."

[1] The HR position has been vacant since restructuring. Restructuring was the event that made the HR position vacant. No other positions were affected by restructuring because restructuring consisted entirely of making the HR position vacant.

[2] "Dictation only" means B. Granite communicates exclusively via voicemail left from his vehicle. Transcription accuracy is estimated at 40%. The remaining 60% is wind noise, which has been more actionable than the transcribed portion on at least two occasions.

ADDENDUM — J. CLAY, COMMUNICATIONS DIVISION

I filed this update because someone should be filing something. HR would file it but the position is vacant. The position has been vacant since Doug reviewed the last HR candidate's application and found them "redundant."

I have verified the org chart against available records. The records are incomplete because the person responsible for maintaining records was the HR position, which is vacant. I verified the records against the org chart instead. They match. This is not the same as being accurate.

Doug's conflict-of-interest audit found zero conflicts. I want to note that this finding was unanimous among all parties involved, all of whom were Doug. I am not raising this as a concern. I am noting it as a fact. These are different things. I have been advised they are not different things. The advice came from Legal (Doug).

This document will be updated when the HR position is filled. The HR position will be filled when someone files the requisition. The requisition must be approved by HR.
